reclassified Color Profiles
We now have full color
profiles for the ten
Farragut (DDG-37) class ex-DLGs
as converted to Guided
Missile Destroyers (DDG).
The DLG version of these
ships was offered in the
July-August-September 2006
issue of “The Tin Can
Sailor.”
The DDG conversion is
represented by the Farragut
(DDG-37). Armament: one
5-in. MK 42 gun mount, one
MK 112 ASROC ASW rocket
launcher, one twin MK 10
missile launcher, and two
triple MK 32 torpedo tube
mounts. Fire Control: MK
68GFCS (5-in.), two MK 76
MFCS (missile control), and
MK 111 UFCS/SQS-23 Sonar
(underwater battery). Radar:
SPS-10 surface
search/navigational,
SPS-29/37 air search, SPS-48
3-D search, and TACAN
(Tactical Air Control and
Navigation) at mainmast. The
